28th May, so late it's actually the 29th [May. 29th, 2008|10:53 pm]
[Private]
It's what I believe. It's everything that's been boiling inside me since this all started. It's the truth. It needs to be said.

Maybe I shouldn't have signed my name to it. "A concerned witch". But I stand by it. I do. Maybe I shouldn't have sent it at all. But it needs to be said. Maybe the third glass of Ogdens wasn't a good idea.

Maybe it's far too late to be worrying about this now, Mill, when the owl's long gone and no wishing will bring it back. Nothing you can do. Go to sleep.

25th May, evening [May. 26th, 2008|12:34 pm]
I'd like to extend my personal thanks to those who were polite, helpful and co-operative at yesterday's game. You made an unpleasant job much easier. The rest of you can get knotted

And congratulations to Pride for another sterling win.

[Private]
Well that was a debacle. I think we fined roughly half the crowd for interfering with the DMLE in the course of their duties and if we'd arrested all those who warranted it, we'd have had to magically extend the cells again. I've only just finished the paperwork now, not helped by the number of complaints I've been fielding all day. One more memo from Games and Sports and I'm going to go up there and give them a piece of my mind. It's almost enough to make me wish something had happened. Almost.

We can't fucking win these days, can we? A little assistance from the general sodding populace wouldn't go astray now and then. We are on their side, after all. Maybe they need to be reminded of that.

Maybe I need to go home and actually have some weekend before I start ranting to an inanimate object.

At least Pride won. It wasn't a total unmitigated horror. Not that I actually managed to see much of the match for wrestling with berks.

Do I even want to know what you've been doing with your weekend? Teacups and sodomy?

14th May, roughly 3:30pm [May. 15th, 2008|10:12 am]
[All Hitwizard officers]
A tip has been received regarding another attack. Hogsmeade this time, by the sounds of it, 1am on Saturday morning. Not an official alert yet, because the source is rather questionable, but stay on your toes, and don't chatter about it idly.

And all communication with the Auror department still goes through me. We have our own jobs to do and I'm sick and tired of Scrimgeour thinking he can co-opt us when he likes. Any of them pokes you about this, let me know.

Pepper, a word in my office, when you have a moment.

5th May after this [May. 6th, 2008|01:43 pm]
[Hitwizards]
Give the Aurors every assistance this week, in everything directly related to the Death Eaters and especially the death of Roman Selwyn. But refer everything else to me on the down-low, please. If you have any doubts, ask me. Anyone who can't delay a request without raising suspicion clearly needs another fortnight in basic training.

If anyone asks, we're willing and eager to support our Auror brothers and presenting a strong front, etc, you know the drill.

[Pepper]
Because Rufus Scrimgeour is a sulky brat of a aggravating You're no longer assisting the Aurors. This should give you plenty of time to investigate that matter we discussed yesterday. I'm giving you free rein, but you report direct to me. Make use of Aubrey, obviously, but I'd prefer you keep it to him alone. Don't count on the Aurors for unofficial help; if you need anything, let me know and I'll arrange it through official channels.

11th April - Friday night [Apr. 12th, 2008|05:13 pm]
Monday's incident report is finally completely compiled. It'll be waiting on your desks Monday morning - or, if you're Rufus Scrimgeour, when you get back to the office later tonight - and I'll be handing out follow-up assignments at the briefing, so you can all look forward to that.

Just like to take this chance to publicly congratulate my squad on a week of solid gruntwork. It's not glamorous and it's not exciting, but you all did damn well.

Now I'll see you all down the pub.

7th April - Monday morning (early) [Apr. 7th, 2008|07:41 am]
Did anyone catch the end of the Pride-Arrows match? The 'gamot message arrived just as Jessup earned that penalty throw, of course, because no one picks the worst possible moment like a third-time offender deciding to change his plea on the eve of his trial. I would apologise to everyone whose weekends I ruined subsequently, but Merlin only knows the next time I'm going to be able to spend time with my family all in the one spot again without someone mentioning the wedding, and I still don't know if Pride got up because the Prophet either hasn't arrived yet or has gone missing. Again. If someone's pinched it to do the crossword, my advice is to get your own copy and return mine to Henrietta before morning briefing.
